Overview
We are seeking a dedicated R&D Chemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead new product development and business growth by developing and optimizing formulations for various products, including powder coatings, paints, and sublimation materials. This position involves hands-on research, formulation chemistry, and sourcing high-quality materials. The R&D Chemist will contribute to creating effective formulations and researching suppliers to ensure the best materials are utilized for our projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine formulation chemistry for a range of products such as powder coatings, paints, and sublimation materials.
- Design and create new product formulations that meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct research on sourcing materials, including identifying reliable suppliers and evaluating their offerings.
- Research and analyze raw materials to optimize product performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into viable product solutions.
- Create detailed business plans related to formulation development and material sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, formulations, and testing results.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new materials relevant to formulation chemistry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in formulation chemistry, particularly with powders, coatings, or paints.
- Strong knowledge of chemical properties, raw material sourcing, and formulation techniques.
- Experience with research and development processes in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating with suppliers and team members.
