Quality Manager Location: Sussex, WITravel: Less than 10%Pay: Competitive compensation based on experience Join Pregis and Lead Quality Excellence Pregis is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality systems, customer quality, and continuous improvement initiatives at our Sussex manufacturing facility. Sussex is a specialized flexible packaging operation focused on blown film extrusion, flexographic printing, and bag converting, producing high-quality packaging products for customers across a variety of industries. This role serves as the site quality leader and is responsible for driving product quality, customer satisfaction, process improvement, and operational excellence.

The Quality Manager will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to ensure products consistently meet customer expectations and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment Experience leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality auditing practices Experience leading root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Prior leadership experience managing quality personnel Experience within plastics, packaging, film extrusion, converting, printing, or related manufacturing industries Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Customer-facing quality experience Multi-site manufacturing experience Position Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the site's Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring products meet customer requirements, ISO standards, and Pregis quality expectations.

This position utilizes data-driven decision making, structured problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement tools to improve quality performance, reduce process variation, resolve customer concerns, and support operational excellence across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality expectations Lead customer complaint investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to improve process capability and product quality Develop and monitor quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) Manage quality audits, inspections, and compliance activities Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies Develop and coach quality personnel while fostering a culture of quality throughout the facility Support new product introductions and process improvement projects Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are achieved Maintain knowledge of industry quality standards and best practices Perform other duties as assigned Why Join Pregis?
