Injection Stretch Blow Molding Process Engineer

Role details

For our client, we are seeking a Injection Stretch Blow Molding Process Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Food & Beverages space.

This role will focus on improving molding performance, supporting new tool qualification, and driving process stability across a plastics packaging environment. The engineer will partner closely with manufacturing, project teams, and plant personnel to resolve production issues and strengthen technical capability. Success in this position will come from balancing hands-on troubleshooting with disciplined process documentation, training, and continuous improvement.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $140,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage mold samplings and qualification services for new and rebuilt tools
• Optimize the molding process for dimensional limits and cycle times
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for molding processes
• Attend project meetings and design reviews as required
• Train plant personnel in technical areas related to machine processing and tool design
• Provide manufacturing support to resolve production issues
• Develop technical capabilities and implement training programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of processing experience in the plastics packaging industry
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with SPC is beneficial
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate with internal and external customers
• Strong management skills to influence multiple resources
