Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying packaging designs while working collaboratively with various teams to enhance packaging processes and reduce costs. This role demands a strong analytical mindset and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify packaging designs using 3D CAD software, including detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Assess existing packaging processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower overall transportation costs.
• Work closely with suppliers, procurement, operations, and quality teams to implement packaging improvements across the supply chain.
• Evaluate packaging materials and perform testing to verify durability, performance, and compliance with transportation requirements.
• Analyze shipping and freight data to identify trends and develop strategies that improve packaging effectiveness while reducing expenses.
• Support the introduction of new products by developing packaging solutions that meet operational and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar design platforms.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, packaging design principles, and transportation/logistics considerations.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, product protection standards, and packaging validation processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Packaging Engineering, including material testing, BOMs, schematics/drawings.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
