About the Role
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will serve as a technical lead dedicated to optimizing production workflows and enhancing the quality of molded fiber products. By leveraging your expertise in process control and automation, you will drive operational excellence and lead cross-functional teams to achieve superior manufacturing outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Optimize production throughput and cycle times by identifying and resolving complex processing bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain critical technical documentation, including molding specifications, process flow diagrams, and PFMEAs.
- Establish robust processing parameters that align with machine capabilities and material requirements to ensure product consistency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, cost savings, and overall equipment efficiency.
- Oversee lab and process technicians while managing quality programs, including GMP standards and audit compliance.
- Execute design of experiments (DOE) and capability studies to validate process improvements.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide technical justification for capital equipment investments.
- Maintain a proactive safety culture by identifying hazards and ensuring adherence to operational protocols.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage quality assurance programs.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with molded fiber or similar polymer processing technologies.
- Familiarity with NSF standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
- Advanced analytical skills for data-driven troubleshooting and process optimization.
