Role details

DiaCom Corporation, a world-wide leader in high-performance diaphragms for automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial applications, has an immediate opening for a hands-on Product Engineer with a BS in engineering and 5+ years of experience (or 10+ years of increasing responsibility in manufacturing), preferably in the rubber or plastics industry.

Product Engineering Support

  • Support customers directly on material selection, design recommendations, and diaphragm performance
  • Conduct failure analysis and drive corrective action and product improvement
  • Complete CAD drawings for diaphragms and tooling; keep engineering records current

Manufacturing Engineering Support

  • Work hands-on on the production floor to reduce scrap, improve productivity, and solve problems on new and existing programs
  • Manage customer quality interactions, including root-cause analysis and corrective action reporting
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot tools, fixtures, and jigs

Cost Estimating

  • Analyze prints and part designs for manufacturability and performance
  • Select materials, processes, and tooling for new business quotes
  • Develop cost analyses to support competitive, profitable pricing

Special Projects

  • Lead assigned initiatives in cost reduction, process improvement, and quality

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills (8D methodology a plus)
  • Proficient in CAD (SolidEdge a plus) and spreadsheets
  • Familiar with ISO/AS9100 quality standards
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities
