Apply materials characterization techniques such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, resistance measurements and ellipsometry to characterize materials and make recommendations on vectors to improve materials performance towards program goals.

Apply knowledge of novel materials development and characterization, statistical process control, electrical characterization of devices. Collaborate and share internal and proprietary knowledge to equipment engineers, manufacturing engineers, integration engineers, and others. Own transfer of new films and technology developments to manufacturing sites. Employer will accept a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field.

Position requires: 1) Statistical Process Control; 2) Clean room device fabrication; 3) Device characterization; 4) Materials characterization including x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, ellipsometry, and resistance measurements; and 5) Film deposition using PVD or other approach.
