TITLE: QC Technician B SHIFT: First (1st) Shift 6am to 2:30pm POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for checking for safely produced goods and reaching the customer’s specifications and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED. 3 years related work experience, preferably in plastic manufacturing industry. Experience in ISO preferred. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs routine operations required to operate and adjust machines to produce quality material. Work from specific team leader/supervisor instructions, standard operating procedures and precise product specification sheets in the routine operation and adjustment of multiple machines running multiple products.

Perform set ups and changeovers based upon prescribed procedures and production demand. Use ruler, retractable knives, hook knifes, and various hand tools. Operate pallet jack and forklift as assigned (once qualified). Perform quality tests on done on finished product to ensure quality of product and conformance to specified tolerances. Areas inspected include length and width, and overall appearances. Perform leak audits according to standardized procedures and perform simple calculations to record results (for consumer bags). Make routine machine adjustments to correct minor deviations from tolerance. Diagnose routine problems, detect cause and perform required machine adjustments.

OTHER INFORMATION: Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and word processing software. Knowledge of extrusion process is an asset. Knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices. Capable of working with minimum supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and team skills. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Ability to be self-directed and multitask Ability to follow directions. TRAINING: Ensure GMPs are exerted throughout the production process. Ensure production process follows SQF Code. Ensure ISO procedures are exerted throughout the production process.
