Role details
Company Description
Zenthos Energy is developing a high-performance 500 Wh/kg battery technology that uses recycled aluminum instead of lithium, cobalt or nickel. This approach enables a highly sustainable and environmentally responsible energy storage solution. Zenthos batteries are non-flammable and can operate under extreme environmental conditions. Zenthos Energy focuses on advanced materials and electrochemistry to deliver next-generation green batteries.
Role Description
The Staff Battery Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing Zenthos Energy’s aluminum-based battery systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cell and pack design activities, defining test plans, analyzing performance data, and iterating on materials and architectures to improve energy density, cycle life, and safety. The role involves close collaboration with materials scientists, electrical engineers, and R&D teams to translate fundamental research into scalable, manufacturable solutions. The engineer will also document technical findings, contribute to process development, and support validation and reliability testing.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Albuquerque, NM.
