Employment Details: Full-Time
Work Site: Pleasant Grove, Ohio
Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 per year
Shift Timing: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Role Overview
Our manufacturing group is looking for a motivated engineering graduate to step into a hands-on Quality Engineer role. You will be based on the production floor, collaborating with maintenance staff, operators, and leadership to enhance plastic extrusion processes, minimize waste, and maintain high product standards. Since our facility runs 24/7, this second-shift role offers a unique chance to engage directly with active production cycles and drive meaningful results.
Primary Duties
- Direct the resolution of process and quality challenges occurring on extrusion lines
- Evaluate production metrics to pinpoint performance trends and enhancement possibilities
- Examine internal and customer-reported quality issues
- Perform root cause investigations to help establish effective corrective measures
- Contribute to process refinement projects aimed at boosting productivity and reducing scrap rates
- Create and update essential process documentation and standard operating procedures
- Partner with production staff to foster improvements in overall manufacturing output
- Assist in testing new equipment, materials, and product designs
- Engage in various operational excellence and continuous improvement programs
- Coordinate efforts across engineering, maintenance, production, and quality departments
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Polymer Engineering, or a related field
