Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Manufacturing Engineer role based in Port Richey, FL. The Manufacturing Engineer will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for plastic injection molding, LSR, and related assembly operations to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Responsibilities include creating and updating process documentation, work instructions, and layouts; supporting new product introductions; and leading process validation activities in alignment with medical device and life sciences requirements.

The role will analyze production data, troubleshoot issues on the shop floor, implement corrective actions, and collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, and tooling teams. The Manufacturing Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support root cause investigations, and help ensure that manufacturing operations meet regulatory and customer standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Engineering, with the ability to develop, optimize, and validate production methods.
  • Background in Industrial Engineering focused on workflow optimization, productivity improvement, and waste reduction in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles applied to tooling, fixtures, equipment selection, and process design.
  • Experience with Machining and secondary operations related to plastics manufacturing, tooling support, or component finishing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances; proficiency with basic CAD and MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in day-to-day manufacturing
