Rubber Materials Engineer – Product Development

Turn rubber and advanced polymer expertise into real products, taking them from first formulation all the way to full production.

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Materials, Polymer, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with rubber materials, rubber formulation, and rubber molding
  • Working knowledge of thermoplastic and thermoset materials, testing, and failure analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communicator who presents confidently to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Willing to travel globally up to 10%

Nice-to-Haves

  • FEA experience with Abaqus or ANSYS
  • Moldflow Insight experience

What You'll Do

  • Develop polymer and rubber formulations and prove out their performance
  • Drive new products from concept through commercialization
  • Lead prototyping, validation, and pilot production runs
  • Run and interpret FTIR, DMA, DSC, TGA, and tensile testing
  • Solve design, material, tolerance, and manufacturing challenges
  • Shape supplier selection, tooling, and cost decisions
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Marketing
  • Create technical documentation and train teams on new products
