Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Pleasant Grove, Ohio
Pay: $75,000–$90,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, hands-on engineering graduate to join a manufacturing team as a Quality Engineer.
This is a floor-focused engineering position where you will work directly with production operators, maintenance technicians, and manufacturing leadership to troubleshoot quality issues, improve processes, reduce scrap, and ensure consistent product performance across plastic extrusion operations.
Because the facility operates around the clock, this position is aligned with second shift, providing the opportunity to work directly with active production operations and make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead troubleshooting of quality and process issues on extrusion lines
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Investigate customer and internal quality concerns
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support process optimization projects focused on productivity, scrap reduction, and product consistency
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
- Work closely with production operators to improve manufacturing performance
- Support trials involving new materials, products, and equipment
- Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with quality, maintenance, production, and engineering teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
