Role details
- Support automated assembly and injection molding manufacturing across various product lines.
- Provide hands-on engineering support for projects from conception through production, including equipment installation, start-up, and qualification.
- Develop engineering specifications, maintain drawings and project timelines, and manage project tasks, resources, costs, and deliverables.
- Perform process development for new and existing molds and design, execute, and analyze engineering studies.
- Optimize plant machinery, tooling, and manufacturing processes through electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic design modifications.
- Coordinate and perform equipment validations and process engineering evaluations.
- Manage plant and capital projects, maintain project documentation, and support delivery on time and within budget.
- Improve manufacturing processes to reduce scrap and cycle times, increase efficiency, and eliminate waste.
- Research vendor proposals, specifications, manuals, and new technologies to evaluate design feasibility and applications.
- Support installation of new products, tooling, and related processes; investigate tooling and process issues; and recommend product or process improvements.
- Provide technical expertise and training to plant personnel.
- Support Lean Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Travel up to 10%, or up to 26 business days per year.
- Work scheduled hours and irregular hours as needed to complete assignments.

- Engineering project management from conception through production.
- Equipment installation, start-up, validation, and qualification.
- Engineering studies, process evaluations, and troubleshooting.
- Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic design modifications.
- Engineering specifications, technical drawings, project documentation, and timeline management.
- Lean Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Process improvement focused on scrap reduction, cycle-time improvement, efficiency, and waste elimination.
- Experience with software, hardware, and vision technology.
- Strong communication, organization, project management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- RJG Master Molder certification preferred.
- Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Significant relevant process engineering experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Minimum three years of plastic injection mold processing experience required
