What You Will Do

Participate in investigations involving complex chemical and metallurgical problems, using established as well as innovative techniques. Perform microstructural analyses related to the evaluation of aerospace materials for compliance to standards. Familiar with current Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) techniques including sample preparation, microscope operation, and image data collection and analysis. Perform SEM/EDS investigation on both non-metallic and metallic samples for failure analysis, general sample characterization, and material identification.

Possess a strong work ethic; the ability to work independently, and prioritize work flow, is critical. Provide clear, concise, and accurate lab reports. Interact effectively with customers at all levels. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field. Qualifications We Prefer: The candidate must have a working knowledge of various types of analytical test equipment, as well as an understanding of general manufacturing processes. A willingness to put the customer first is crucial, as this position periodically requires extra effort to satisfy our manufacturing customers.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
