Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize plastics manufacturing processes, particularly injection molding
- Support NPI/NPD from prototype through production launch
- Optimize molding parameters, cycle times, yield, scrap, Cp/Cpk, and OEE
- Support mold/tooling development, qualification, and troubleshooting
- Lead root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives
- Support PFMEA, SPC, CAPA, process validation, and control plans
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Tooling, R&D, and Operations teams
Required Experience
- 5+ years of plastics manufacturing/process engineering experience
- Strong injection molding and plastics processing experience
- Mold/tooling development and troubleshooting
- NPI/NPD and production launch experience
- Experience with PFMEA, SPC, RCA, CAPA, and Lean Manufacturing
- Engineering drawings and GD&T
- Process optimization and continuous improvement
Preferred
- Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Automotive, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Moldflow or similar simulation tools
- DOE / Six Sigma experience
- Extrusion, overmolding, insert molding, or ultrasonic welding experience
