What will your day look like?
- Collaborate with internal teams, external manufacturers, and suppliers to achieve quality objectives while balancing consumer safety, product performance, business needs, and cost considerations.
- Support quality activities for new product development, product changes, packaging initiatives, process improvements, and ongoing manufacturing operations.
- Participate as the Quality representative on assigned cross-functional project teams, ensuring quality requirements and risks are appropriately identified and addressed.
- Troubleshoot new and existing products and processes, communicate identified quality risks, and resolve quality concerns independently or in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Perform statistical analysis to support troubleshooting, product and process qualification, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement activities.
- Develop and implement Quality Control Plans for new product development, packaging initiatives, product changes, and manufacturing processes.
- Define inspection and testing protocols for OTC, cosmetic, and adhesive products using established sampling methodologies, product requirements, and quality standards.
- Identify additional inspection or testing requirements necessary to mitigate specific risks related to consumer safety, product performance, packaging, labeling, and overall product quality.
- Support assigned supplier quality programs, including supplier nonconformance, supplier qualification, supplier change control, supplier notification of change, and supplier performance monitoring.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with established quality requirements.
- Review supplier corrective-action responses and support follow-up activities to verify appropriate closure.
- Conduct artwork proofing and packaging or labeling reviews to verify accuracy and compliance with established requirements.
- Support nonconformance, customer complaint, supplier issue, and process-failure investigations.
- Apply established root cause analysis and corrective-action methodologies to resolve assigned quality concerns.
- Prioritize assigned projects and responsibilities based on business needs, product risk, and resource availability.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, timely escalation, and transparency.
- Evaluate and balance consumer safety, product quality, regulatory requirements, cost, efficiency, and product performance when making recommendations.
- Develop and revise clear procedures, work instructions, test methods, specifications, and technical documentation for operators, technicians, engineers, and external partners.
- Specify appropriate tools, gauges, and equipment required for inspection and testing activities.
- Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system evaluations as needed.
- Maintain and update quality tracking systems, supplier scorecards, performance metrics, and related reports.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality, process performance, operational efficiency, and reliability.
- Support internal, external, supplier, and regulatory audits as requested.
- Support training and implementation of quality procedures, tools, and established best practices.
- Other job duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table
*Education & Experience*
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Chemistry, Science, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Five or more years of quality experience in a manufacturing, product, or supplier-quality environment.
- Experience supporting new product development, product or process qualification, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing Quality Control Plans, inspection strategies, testing requirements, or quality procedures.
- Experience applying statistical analysis and quality engineering techniques to solve technical problems.
- Experience working within ISO 9001, GMP, or another established quality management system preferred.
- Experience within consumer products, adhesives, chemicals, OTC products, cosmetics, packaging, or another regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification preferred.
- Supplier auditing or quality auditing experience preferred.
Specific Skills:
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of quality systems, supplier quality, inspection methodologies, and manufacturing quality processes.
- Working knowledge of quality engineering tools such as root cause analysis, statistical process control, process capability, sampling methodologies, measurement systems analysis, and Gage R&R.
- Ability to interpret and analyze product, process, supplier, and quality performance data.
- Ability to identify quality risks and make sound recommendations using established standards and methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to employees, cross-functional partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build positive working relationships.
- Ability to independently manage assigned projects and responsibilities with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and consumer safety.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and applicable quality or data-tracking systems.
