Overview
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Engineering students to join our dynamic manufacturing and industrial engineering team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical expertise across various engineering disciplines, contribute to process improvements, and support the manufacturing operations. As a Jr Engineer, you will be integral in driving efficiency, quality, and innovation within our production environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance overall performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in project scheduling and tracking to ensure timely completion of engineering initiatives and manufacturing projects.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, identifying underlying problems and proposing effective corrective actions.
- Support CAD design activities using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD software for creating schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication plans.
- Participate in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to plastics injection molding processes, including process setup, troubleshooting, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in robot programming for automation tasks such as welding, assembly line operations, and vision inspection systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvement projects utilizing Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Assist in the analysis of engineering data related to manufacturing efficiency, quality metrics, and process performance.
- Support factory equipment maintenance including CNC machines, industrial equipment, fabrication tools, and CNC programming.
- Aid in the development of schematics and technical documentation for industrial equipment and systems.
- Participate in team leadership activities during project execution and process upgrades while practicing safety standards.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Creo is essential; experience with CAM programming is a plus.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, welding, robotics, CNC machining, and assembly line operations.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLC programming and vision inspection systems.
- Strong analytical skills for engineering troubleshooting and data analysis related to manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail; proactive problem-solving mindset.
