Design Engineer I - Connector Solutions

Amphenol Pcd is looking for an Entry-Level Design Engineer to join our team in Beverly, MA. You’ll work closely with our Product Development and Design teams, supporting connector products and having the opportunity to contribute to new product designs. Essential Functions

• Support product design activities from concept through to manufacturing.
• Assist in the design and development of new connector products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Interact with customers, presenting product proposals and gathering feedback.
• Apply knowledge of plastic materials, including their electrical and mechanical properties.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Qualifications

• Understanding of the product design process, from inception to production.
• Familiarity with plastic materials, including their electrical and mechanical properties.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and presenting ideas.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Desired Skills / Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with Creo or similar CAD software.
• Willingness to manage and contribute to product development programs.
• Familiarity with FMEA and 8D problem-solving methods.

Desired Education

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
