Experiences/Education - Required PhD in Physics, Glass Science, or Geology and 5-10 years of work experience in relevant industry or lab environment Background in material science, glass, physics, chemistry or geology Experience/background in optical materials and applications Experience with non-silicate and non-oxide materials Technically curious, self-motivated, and able to work independently and in teams Ability to develop and execute experimental plans Hands-on technical aptitude Strong communication skills – verbal and written Attention to detail, rigorous execution of work and documentation Able to manage multiple priorities at once Up to 20% travel required both domestic and international Experiences/Education - Desired Leadership experience Glass forming knowledge Modeling proficiency Knowledge of material mechanical properties and fracture mechanics Proficiency in chemistry and chemical durability of materials Able to transition materials/products from research through development and beyond Knowledge of characterization tools for bulk and surface properties of materials This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $109,049.00 - $149,943.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
