Fenner Precision Polymers has an exciting internship opportunity with the Fenner New Product Textile Engineering Team at Manheim/Lititz, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for product/process/testing needs for the textile product category.
As part of the New Product Development Team, you will …….
S/he will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to:
- Conduct lab testing on Polyurethanes, Silicones and textiles according to product development needs
- Help develop, setup and execute experiments for new technologies for our products
- Develop proficiency in emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to support project work, data analysis, content creation, and operational efficiency under the guidance of team leaders
- Operate computer-controlled test equipment and analyze data
- Technical documentation:
- Update specifications for our products
- Write analytical reports based on experimentation conducted
- Develop new tests and document the associated work instructions
- R&D projects
- Alternative fabrics – quartz, MWPE, etc. – applications, testing
