Duties

• Design, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to develop precise schematics and layouts.
• Lead process engineering initiatives focused on plastics injection molding, assembly line optimization, and industrial automation to enhance productivity and quality.
• Utilize project scheduling and project management techniques to plan, execute, and monitor manufacturing projects from inception through completion.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of engineering issues related to equipment failures, process deviations, or quality concerns.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to identify waste reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robot programming systems for automation tasks on the factory floor.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, quality assurance, production operators, and suppliers to ensure seamless process integration and adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and schematic design tools for detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding processes, industrial automation systems, vision inspection systems, and welding techniques.
• Experience with project scheduling, project management in manufacturing environments, and factory experience including assembly line operations.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, process improvement strategies like Lean management and Six Sigma manufacturing practices.
• Skilled in engineering troubleshooting, process engineering methodologies, industrial engineering concepts, and quality improvement programs.
• Familiarity with Schematics development for electrical systems involving PLCs and industrial automation components.
• Demonstrated ability in team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, data analysis for manufacturing metrics, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay: $107,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
