Job Overview The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting new blow molding (BM) product commercialization, process development, and process control/optimization. Manages process development for new and transferred BM equipment and tooling.

Manages and provides technical support to standardize, document, and control the blow molding process. Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops the blow molding process to successfully introduce new products and new or transferred tooling into manufacturing, including supporting the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Supports the optimization of the molding, tooling, and fixturing from design to product launch and continual improvement.
• Develops Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Blow Molding process.
• Optimize material processing conditions, tooling, and fixturing to improve output, reduce scrap, and improve quality/productivity.
• Work in concert with production, maintenance, and quality to deliver new process standards and/or safety improvements with new and/or existing equipment and machinery.
• Coordinates continuous improvement, troubleshooting guidelines, and process refinement efforts.
• Works in collaboration with Quality to coordinate all applicable testing, verification, and ongoing validation to meet product specifications as well as comply with applicable industry and government regulations/standards.
• Trains/coaches maintenance and production processes on troubleshooting and control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and data entry tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform job-related duties is required.
• Demonstrated process improvement experience.
• Proficient working abilities within Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma is required.
• BS in Engineering or equivalent 10+ years processing experience in extrusion or blow molding.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in a molding factory (blow or injection molding preferred).

Physical Requirements The position involves regular exposure to a combination of office and warehouse environments, requiring the appropriate use of safety equipment as needed. Job duties may involve standing, walking, stooping, and bending on a frequent basis. Employees must be able to tolerate repetitive motions for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds. The role also requires the ability to stand and move throughout the workday, including time spent on concrete surfaces. Occasional exposure to varying temperatures may occur depending on warehouse or facility conditions.
