Role details
The
Injection Equipment & Process Performance Engineer
is responsible for defining, deploying, and continuously improving injection molding equipment, processes, and industrial standards across the Division. The position leads equipment industrialization projects, supports plant performance improvement initiatives, and provides technical expertise to manufacturing sites to ensure safe, efficient, and standardized injection operations.
*Main Responsibilities*
Industrial Projects
- Lead injection molding equipment investment, retrofit, transfer, and industrialization projects across plants.
- Define technical specifications and standards for injection molding equipment and associated technologies.
- Manage project execution to achieve quality, cost, timing, and performance objectives.
- Coordinate suppliers, purchasing teams, project teams, and manufacturing plants throughout project development.
- Ensure successful equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and handover.
Process Development & Optimization
- Support manufacturing plants in improving productivity, quality, capacity, and process robustness.
- Analyze molding processes and recommend technical improvements to enhance operational performance.
- Evaluate and implement innovative technologies and best practices in injection molding.
- Participate in molding assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Expertise & Standards
- Deploy and maintain global industrial standards for injection molding equipment and processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to project teams and production plants.
- Conduct benchmarking and technology watch activities to identify industry best practices.
- Develop technical guidelines, training materials, and knowledge-sharing activities within the injection network.
Supplier & Technical Management
- Develop technical requirements and specifications for new equipment.
- Evaluate supplier proposals from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and validation activities.
- Support supplier development and contribute to the global supplier panel strategy.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Fluent English required.
- Additional languages are an asset.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in injection molding, industrialization, manufacturing engineering, equipment projects, or process optimization.
- Experience leading industrial equipment installation, transfer, retrofit, or industrialization projects.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with injection molding processes.
- Exposure to international projects and multi-site manufacturing operations is preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of mold design principles and tool validation processes.
- Ability to interpret rheology and mold flow simulation studies.
- Knowledge of injection molding equipment, auxiliaries, robotics, automation systems, and peripherals.
- Experience with equipment specification, commissioning, validation, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of OEE, process capability, continuous improvement, and industrial performance indicators.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and technical design/viewer software.
