Role details
The Assistant Chemical Operator position is responsible for accurately receiving shipments, accurately staging material, filling and labeling to proper containers, etc. We count on our employees to adapt and embrace change in order to meet, and ideally surpass, business goals. Additional Information: Schedule: 21-Turn Continuous Operations Schedule (COS) with Rotating Shifts This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.
Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and vendors.
Operate a forklift according to the provided training to maintain organization and stage materials for Resin Operators Maintain site cleanliness through daily housekeeping activities Properly label containers and fill from all vessels Transfer product from any thin tank or reactor to any bulk tank Assist resin operators in charging raw materials to vessels (as part of a 2-person team including vessel operator) Complete repacks as needed for shipment Follow all standard operating procedures Minimum Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Have at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility Have at least one (1) year of work experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse and/or distribution center environment Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating stationary power equipment such as palletizers, conveyors, hoists and stackers, mills or farm/construction equipment Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating mobile power equipment such as lift trucks, tow motors, or pallet handling equipment, order pickers, high lifts, forklifts, or cherry pickers Have at least one (1) year of work experience order picking and entering orders including data entry and scanning bar codes
