The Lab Technician will support laboratory operations, project, and customer needs on-site in Springfield, MA.

Responsibilities

--------------------

Laboratory Operations Support

• Glass cutting and preparation
• Glass washing and handling
• Packaging and shipping support
• Interlayer preparation
• Sample preparation and organization
• Laboratory setup and cleanup
• Materials management and inventory support

Project and Customer Support

• LTS support activities
• Sample fulfillment and shipment coordination
• Work request processing
• Documentation and record management
• Data entry and reporting support
• General project preparation activities

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Technical Diploma preferred. B.S. in Science is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Science or technical background with an understanding of experimental methods and critical thinking principles.
• Physical capability to safely learn and perform laboratory tasks, including glass cutting, laminate preparation, equipment operation, and glass lamination processes.
• Ability to work independently after appropriate training and qualification.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Willingness to learn laboratory procedures while supporting a culture of safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The minimum starting rate for this position begins at $35.08 per hour. Compensation is determined according to a structured rate schedule and may be adjusted based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
