In this position... Drive continuous improvement in yield, scrap, quality, and throughput, and find the next opportunities the central technologist can turn into standards.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

• Work the line day to day: find the losses (scrap, downtime, quality escapes) and put AI and analytics against the ones that pay.
• Build and deploy models on plant data for coating and formation quality, defect detection, and yield root cause, with the central technologist and vendors.
• Turn model output into action: parameter changes, error-proofing, and standard work with process, controls, and quality.
• Feed findings and reusable assets back to the central technologist so both plants benefit.
• Own the local data connection: MES, historians, PLC and OT data, and inline metrology.

Qualifications

You'll have...

• Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial OR Electrical preferred), with coursework or hands-on work in ML, data science, or analytics.
• Strong plant-floor instinct.
• Comfortable with Python and plant data (MES, historians such as PI or Ignition, PLC data).
• Process or manufacturing engineering experience; battery, semiconductor, coatings, or another high-volume process is a plus.
• Bias to action, and the credibility to work shoulder to shoulder with operators, technicians, and process engineers.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $132,800-$250,800.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
