Role details

Responsibilities

  • Address the lightweighting, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability requirements of glass-fiber production equipment (fiber drawing machines, winders, chopping units, conveying and transmission components, etc.) by conducting formulation design, lay-up/structural design, and process development for fiber-reinforced resin matrix composites (glass-fiber/carbon-fiber reinforced thermosetting or thermoplastic systems).
  • Lead material selection and validation for composites used in moving parts, structural components, wear-resistant liners, protective guards/housings, and other glass-fiber equipment applications; complete adaptability assessments from laboratory coupons to actual equipment operating conditions; and resolve engineering issues such as interfacial bonding, fatigue durability, and thermal mismatch.
  • Collaborate with the equipment R&D team on integrated material-structure design for glass-fiber production equipment; incorporate composite processing constraints (compression molding, pultrusion, filament winding, RTM, etc.) early into equipment design; and promote equipment weight reduction and operational stability improvement.
  • Establish a performance evaluation framework for composites used in glass-fiber equipment, covering mechanical properties, heat resistance, media resistance, and long-term service reliability; prepare R&D reports; and contribute to standards development and patent portfolio building.
  • Track lightweighting requirements for equipment components in aerospace, transportation, and other fields, and adapt material design concepts from high-reliability applications to glass-fiber production equipment scenarios.

Requirements

  • Education and Major:

Doctor’s degree or above in Materials Science and Engineering, Composite Materials, Polymer Materials, Mechanical Engineering (Composite Materials Track), or related fields.

  • Experience and Skills:
  • Project experience in formulation design, process development, or structural design of fiber-reinforced composites; familiarity with at least one mainstream composite molding process (compression molding, pultrusion, RTM, filament winding, etc.);
  • Cross-disciplinary thinking across materials, processes, and equipment; ability to understand the operating conditions and failure modes of glass-fiber production equipment; experience in developing composite components for equipment is preferred;
  • Proficiency in CATIA/SolidWorks/ANSYS or other design/simulation tools is preferred;
  • Familiarity with ASTM/ISO composite test standards and independent experimental design and data analysis capabilities.
  • Application-Scenario Background (any one suffices):

Composite R&D experience in aerospace structural components, rail transit components, lightweight components for industrial equipment, structural components for ICT equipment, or green energy equipment (non-wind).
