WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Rampart Products is seeking a *Quality Control Inspector* who will be responsible for inspecting products, materials, components, and production processes to ensure they meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

This Inspector identifies defects or deviations, documents inspection results, and works closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.

WHAT THE DAY-TO-DAY LOOKS LIKE

*Responsibilities*

  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products for quality and compliance.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and electrical inspections using appropriate measuring tools and equipment.
  • Verify products against drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and report defects, nonconformities, and deviations.
  • Complete inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, Keyence Vision System and other inspection equipment.
  • Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work with production personnel to resolve quality problems and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor production processes for compliance with established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure measuring instruments are properly calibrated.
  • Follow company safety policies, quality procedures, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Participate in internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
  • Communicate quality concerns promptly to supervisors, engineers, and other relevant personnel.

WHAT YOU BRING

*Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of quality control principles, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to accurately document inspection results.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

*Physical Requirements*

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive inspection activities for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials within the requirements of the position.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to safely operate or work around inspection and production equipment.

*Preferred Qualifications*

  • Technical training or an Associate Degree
  • Previous experience in quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Experience with ISO 9001/AS 9100 or other applicable quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
  • Familiarity with nonconformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with inspection software or quality management systems.
  • Relevant certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) are a plus.

*Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant hands-on experience will be considered.*

*Schedule & Pay:*

  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm. Overtime Available after 11:00pm and on Weekends
