Description
Job Summary:
To rework, rebuild and repair metal bond parts. May be required to assist higher grade Technicians.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works from blueprints, rejections, shop routers, oral and written instructions to rework, rebuild
and repair production aircraft parts where corrective action is necessary.
- Assists in determining the best method of accomplishing repairs prescribed by inspection and
engineering.
- Obtains tools, fixtures and parts required to complete work. Uses a variety of hand and power
tools such as pliers, knives, files, saws, rivet guns, drills, and scrapers.
- Mixes and applies various adhesives and compounds.
- Occasionally improvises holding devices or shop aids to assist with rebuilding and repair.
- Measures and lays out work according to relationship of parts.
- Responsible for final sellout of parts to inspection.
- Shoot fasteners on single bond line elements that will be reattached using fasteners.
- Responsible for the quality of own work.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification.
Experience:
No experience required.
Working Conditions:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions.
