Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The 2027 Gates Innovation in Engineering Program will take you down a path of limitless opportunity. This two-year project based program offers the opportunity to work in one or more of the Gates’ Development & Technical Centers and Production Facilities across the US (specifically but not limited to Colorado, Michigan, Arkansas, Missouri). In order to increase Gates’ knowledge and development, assignments will span multiple facilities and/or functions during the length of the program.
Program participants will join Gates’ engineering team and innovate in the science of motion performance. Whether your engineering focus is in manufacturing, material science, process, quality, or research and development, you can help Gates build efficient and effective components and systems for the industrial and automotive worlds.
The purpose of this program is to accelerate professional development through project-based business assignments. The benefits include gaining diverse engineering and manufacturing experience. Keys to Success

- Internship or Co-Op experience in a Manufacturing environment, strongly preferred
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), ability to work as a contributing member of a fastpaced engineering team
- Positive attitude and strong desire to learn
- Geographically mobile (you will receive relocation assistance)
- Prior experience using Engineering software (CAD/CAM), preferred

Requirements and Preferred Skills

- Must be a current B.S. or M.S student in Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering with an expected Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
- Relocation will be provided for candidates who meet the requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Pay & Benefits
- Full-Time
- Salary range: $72,500-$ 77,500
- Sign-On Eligible
- Relocation is provided
- Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
- Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
- 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
