Location: Auburn, Alabama

We are hiring a Process Manager (Injection Molding Engineer) automotive manufacturing facility

RESPONSIBILITY

The person will oversee the parameters and consistency of the molding process and procedures. A core responsibility is ensuring molding machines, and supporting systems are set in correct parameters to meet the production goals. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your experience in

*molding, and automation.*

Background in production equipment maintenance or process engineering is an asset. You are an energetic self-starter, and you do not shy away from a “hands-on” role while leading a team of process techs and process engineers to excellence by example.

Previous automotive manufacturing experience is a must

, along with the ability to deliver high-quality processes for demanding customer requirements and deadlines.

The primary mission of the job is to ensure molding machines and parameters are set accurately to meet the production objectives. About 25 new tools are currently in process, and robust production operations are delivered from a 120,000 sq. ft. facility.

  • Responsible for maintaining IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 compliance within the process disciplines.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance within the manufacturing, maintenance, and material handling, and material control disciplines when implemented by the organization.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety, labor, and governmental compliance within the manufacturing, maintenance, and material handling disciplines

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or skilled trade designation preferred
  • Background in plastic injection molds, processes, and equipment is a must
  • Manufacturing experience: process engineering, technical, or maintenance area
  • Project Management experience, or proven success maintaining multiple project timelines
  • Leadership: managing work assignments, training and performance evaluations and rewards, plus effective disciplinary or corrective action as needed.
  • A leader who fully embraces the mission, vision, culture, and concept of ARKAL Automotive, and supports this development by leading staff and reporting to the Plant Manager.
  • Reading blueprints (Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
