Role Description

This full-time, on-site role is based in Lebanon, TN and is designed for chemists and engineers experienced in polyurethane and polyurea technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include formulating, testing, and optimizing polyurethane, polyurea, and hybrid coating systems in the laboratory. The role involves conducting experiments, evaluating material performance, performing quality checks, and documenting results according to internal standards and regulatory requirements. Team members will collaborate with R&D, production, sales, and technical support groups to scale formulations, improve manufacturing processes, and troubleshoot customer applications.

The position also includes preparing technical reports, supporting product development projects, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in materials and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong laboratory skills, including safe handling of chemicals, preparation of samples, and use of common analytical methods.
• Analytical skills to evaluate material properties, analyze test results, and identify trends or issues in formulations and processes.
• Research and Development (R&D) including skills for designing experiments, developing new formulations, and improving existing products.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; experience with polyurethane and/or polyurea systems is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of polymer chemistry, coating technologies, and industrial manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work on-site in Lebanon, TN, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Experience with safety protocols, documentation practices, and regulatory or industry standards in chemical manufacturing is beneficial.
