Role details
We are seeking an experienced Structures MRB Engineer to support aircraft production by investigating structural nonconformances and developing technically justified repair dispositions for composite and metallic aircraft structures. The engineer will work across wing, fuselage, and empennage structures, ensuring structural integrity while meeting production schedules and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and justify engineering dispositions for nonconformances involving composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures.
- Analyze structural discrepancies and develop repair solutions based on equivalent strength and stiffness requirements.
- Support production in a schedule-driven aerospace manufacturing environment, resolving complex structural issues efficiently.
- Lead engineering investigations and make independent technical decisions on complex structural problems.
- Develop and improve repair methods, engineering procedures, and technical standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, production, and other engineering teams to resolve nonconformances and minimize delays.
- Optimize technical solutions while maintaining structural integrity, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience
at a recognized aerospace manufacturer.
- Experience developing and justifying structural repair dispositions for aircraft wings, fuselage, and empennage.
- Strong knowledge of composite and metallic structures, including pressurized and non-pressurized components.
- Ability to analyze structural discrepancies and rapidly develop repairs based on equivalent strength and stiffness.
