Role Description
The Assistant Professor in Bioinorganic Chemistry is a full-time, on-site faculty position located at Binghamton University, NY. The role involves developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in bioinorganic chemistry and related areas, including lecture, laboratory, and seminar formats. The faculty member will establish and maintain a productive, externally funded research program at the interface of chemistry and biology, mentoring students in research projects and supervising theses.
Responsibilities also include curriculum development, participation in departmental and university service, collaboration with colleagues across disciplines, and contribution to the broader academic and local community. The position expects ongoing scholarly activity, dissemination of research through publications and presentations, and commitment to inclusive, high-quality instruction.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, inorganic chemistry or a related field
- Postdoctoral research experience
