Owens Corning Composite Materials, LLC seeks Regional GR Technical Leader in Toledo, OH,

to lead and manage cross regional technical focused improvement (FI) projects as part of the formal continuous improvement process, delivering measurable operational and financial impact exceeding $2 million annually. Partner with plant, regional, and corporate technical teams to identify opportunities, execute improvement initiatives, and sustain results. Analyze process data and operational performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to plant teams to support sustainable manufacturing excellence. Requires and utilizes technical knowledge in glass melting and fiber forming to support plants in technical improvements and escalation management. Lead the TPM Focused Improvement pillar by developing standards, training materials, and deployment plans to ensure consistent application of TPM practices across plants. Support plants in maintaining process discipline, achieving targeted performance outcomes, and deploying standardized TPM “My Way” practices for broader global application.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related occupation

: active applying glass melting technology to support operational optimization, process stability, and technical escalation resolution; applying fiber forming technology to audit processes and support continuous improvement initiatives; leading cross functional technical project teams, including management of capital or operational improvement projects with a value exceeding $5 million; utilizing experience with quality systems and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies, including training plant personnel and supporting sustained process adherence within a manufacturing operation; diagnosing technical manufacturing issues, isolating root causes, and implementing solutions for t30, mer, and cfm glass production; utilizing data analytics using software including minitab, providing cpk, six pack analysis and loss tree paretos to drive focused improvement in manufacturing results; utilizing the continuous improvement methodoloogy - define projects, collabroate solutions, act, document and analyze to ensure technical projects are fully completed to meet the the original request within glass manufacturing sector; combining regulatory and scientific background information in the glass manufacturing industry to support policy and standard work implementation in the glass manufacturing industry.

25% - 50% travel required nationally and internationally. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
