MVCC is seeking to fill a tenure-track, ten-month

Instructor

position in the School of STEM-Transfer. This position will provide instruction for chemistry courses including the General Chemistry sequence for science and engineering majors and College Chemistry for students in health professions.

Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Courses may be taught in a traditional classroom and online formats. This position may include both daytime and evening classes on our Utica and/or Rome campuses. Other specific assignments will be made based on the individual's academic qualifications and program needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement, facilitating student experiences, recruiting for the program and serve on various School and College Committees.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Chemistry or related discipline
• Teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Community college teaching experience with a wide variety of students

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis. VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.
