We currently have an opportunity for a Process Technician at our Manufacturing Plant in Huntersville, NC.

NIGHT SHIFT HOURS

11pm-7am Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

The Process Technicianprovides advanced technical support to manufacturing operations by optimizing production processes, resolving complex equipment and process issues, and improving operational performance. Partners with production, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing while supporting quality, productivity, and continuous improvement objectives. Exercises considerable independent judgment in troubleshooting, process optimization, technician development, and production support to maximize equipment effectiveness and operational reliability.

Manufacturing Operations

  • Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, and production objectives.
  • Lead production start-ups, equipment changeovers, and process adjustments to ensure stable and efficient operations.
  • Establish and maintain standardized process parameters that support consistent product quality across shifts.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex manufacturing and equipment issues to minimize downtime and improve operational performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements in overall equipment effectiveness, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions that reduce variability and improve productivity.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation that supports standardized work and process consistency.
  • Evaluate production performance and recommend process enhancements that improve safety, quality, and throughput.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to production technicians and operators.
  • Train and coach employees on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, safe work practices, and standardized procedures.
  • Partner with supervisors and engineering to identify recurring issues and develop sustainable process improvements.
  • Communicate production issues, process performance, and improvement opportunities with cross-functional teams.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation and support compliance with quality and operational requirements.

Requirements:

Education/Experience

*Required*

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience in a high-level operator or technician role.

*Preferred*

  • Associate degree in a technical or manufacturing-related field.
  • Experience supporting injection molding or thermoforming manufacturing operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing processes and troubleshooting production equipment.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop manufacturing personnel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership.
