onsemi is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Shift Lithography Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Hopewell Junction, NY. This position will serve as a key technical resource supporting lithography systems and manufacturing operations during evening production hours. The successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to rapidly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting production performance. This role will focus on driving equipment performance, process stability, patterning quality, productivity improvements, and continuous operational excellence.

Shift Structure The Lithography organization utilizes a dedicated evening engineering model to provide direct support to manufacturing operations during critical production hours. Engineer A: Sunday – Wednesday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM Engineer B: Wednesday – Saturday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM Own day-to-day engineering support for assigned lithography tools and processes during evening manufacturing operations. Provide rapid technical response to process excursions, equipment alarms, overlay defects, critical dimension (CD) shifts, yield-impacting events, and production interruptions.

Mentor and train technicians and junior engineers in lithography fundamentals, troubleshooting methodologies, and best engineering practices. Lead structured root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Drive improvements in tool uptime, throughput, capability, overlay performance, and process stability. Partner with manufacturing supervisors and technicians to maintain stable and efficient production operations. Monitor and improve lithography process performance through statistical process control (SPC), defect analysis, and data-driven decision making.

Support recipe optimization, process qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, cycle time, quality, and cost reduction. Collaborate with Process Integration, Metrology, Defect Inspection, and Yield Engineering teams to identify and resolve lithography-related performance issues. Create and maintain engineering documentation, operating procedures, specifications, and training materials. Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements. Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience 3+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred. Experience supporting lithography, process engineering, equipment engineering, yield engineering, or manufacturing engineering functions. Experience with photolithography processes, exposure systems, track tools, and/or advanced patterning technologies preferred. Experience with statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and structured problem solving. Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred. Technical Skills Knowledge of semiconductor lithography processes, materials, and equipment.

Understanding of exposure, alignment, overlay, focus, dose control, and critical dimension management. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Statistical analysis, process control, and data interpretation capabilities. Experience with yield improvement and defect reduction methodologies. Familiarity with data visualization and engineering analysis tools. Continuous improvement mindset and strong execution skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $101,700 to $172,700,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
