Job Summary

Design, develop, and validate molds and tooling systems used in structural composites manufacturing. Evaluate and optimize composite manufacturing processes and conduct root cause analysis and resolve development-phase manufacturing defects by applying advanced analytical and diagnostic techniques grounded in composite materials science.

Duties

Create 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or Pro/ENGINEER; apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Perform structural analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) as appropriate; support system design and requirements analysis.
Plan and support engineering development mechanical testing, data collection, and root cause analysis.
Coordinate project scheduling, requirements management, assembly, and manufacturing readiness with cross-functional teams; communicate design changes and technical findings.

Experience

Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or closely related field or foreign equivalent, and one (1) year of experience in composite product structural design engineering and mold development.
Essential: Solidworks or similar CAD modeling software. Parts, assemblies, and drawings for closed mold composites.

Pay: $77,938.00 per year
