Northrop Grumman is seeking Materials Processes Technician Internship for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector. Roles and Responsibilities: The Mechanical, Materials & Processes Laboratories section is seeking a passionate, dedicated individual to join our team as a lab intern who will be responsible for performing a range of tasks to meet our customers’ needs. Candidates will support multiple laboratories within the section including Composites, Material Acceptance Testing, Mechanical Test and Metallography.
Candidates may also aid in the design of experiments and advise operators and engineers regarding processes, procedures, and lab equipment. Finally, Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). A Candidate who is solution-oriented, a quick learner, passionate about meeting customer needs and adaptable will be well-suited for this position. This candidate should have the basic qualifications Basic Qualifications: A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria.
The candidate must: Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027 Be majoring in STEM Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
