Boeing Commercial Core Engineering and Research & Technology teams develop and mature technologies, methods, materials, processes, and engineering capabilities used across aerospace programs. Interns may support manufacturing technology, knowledge-based engineering, materials and processes, composites, metals, chemical/finishes, and structural test activities. Work may include research, experimentation, data analysis, modeling, process development, laboratory testing, and technical documentation.

Potential internship assignments may include: Manufacturing technology and process development Knowledge-based engineering, automation, and digital engineering methods Metals, composites, chemical processes, coatings, and finishes Structural test planning, instrumentation, test execution, and data analysis Research studies, trade assessments, and technology maturation These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Wichita, KS. Employer will not sponsor applications for employment visa status.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate ABET-accredited engineering program Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027 Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher) Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations Majoring in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related engineering fields The ability to relocate and work onsite Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
