Position Summary
Nile Automotive Group GA LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to support our Quality Department in an automotive plastic injection molding environment. This position is a good opportunity for students or recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, and automotive quality systems.
The intern will work closely with the Quality, Engineering, and Production teams and gain practical experience with inspections, problem solving, quality documentation, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with dimensional inspections and testing of plastic injection molded parts.
- Support capability studies, part layouts, and CMM measurements.
- Assist with Gage R&R, MSA, and SPC activities.
- Support investigation of internal and customer quality issues.
- Assist with 8D corrective actions and root-cause analysis.
- Support APQP and PPAP documentation.
- Assist with Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and other quality documentation.
- Help maintain inspection records, quality reports, and process documentation.
- Work with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to improve product and process quality.
- Assist with internal audits and IATF 16949 quality system requirements.
- Learn to read engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
- Use measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures, and CMM equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in automotive manufacturing and plastic injection molding.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or quality concepts preferred.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, or 8D is a plus.
- Ability or willingness to learn how to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Candidates authorized to work in the United States through OPT may apply. The degree/field of study should be related to the duties of the Quality Intern position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in manufacturing or quality.
- Exposure to plastic injection molding or automotive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001.
- Experience using measurement or inspection equipment.
Work Environment: On-site manufacturing facility Job Type: Internship
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
