Performance Health is seeking an Engineer Co-Op to join our Manufacturing team in Akron, OH. The Engineering Co-Op will work on projects related to the quality and process design improvements of our products. The duration of this Co-Op is Spring 2027 working full time, 40 hours per week with opportunity for extension through summer 2027.
Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in validation updatesAssist in Extrusion and Automation projects Update product engineering records to include proper documentation for registrationsParticipates in and assists with the coordination of elements of investigations regarding customer complaints.Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.Manufacturing projects to eliminate waste and deliver cost savingsQuality and Regulatory projects to ensure process and products are in compliance with customer, internal, and governmental standardsPerforms other duties as assignedJob Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentEnrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/universityMajor in an Engineering discipline (Chemical; Mechanical; Polymer Science; Biomedical; Mechanical Engineering Technology) Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higherProficiency with analysis/reporting toolsStrong written and verbal communication skillsBenefitsThis is an intern/co-op role with an hourly pay rate of $20.00 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily.
