Tooling Engineer & Design
Design injection molds and lead DFM/tooling strategy for new plastic part launches
Worth knowing
Why it is interesting. Full ownership from concept through production launch, with direct customer DFM influence and mold flow analysis.
Might not be for you. Tooling-design focused rather than materials R&D — heavy CAD, GD&T and program management, not polymer science.
Adjacent materials roleExperience designing plastic injection molds and tooling systems; knowledge of hot runner systems, cooling, venting, ejection, slides, and lifters
