The Sylmar location provides convenient “reverse commute” options for people living across the San Fernando Valley—from Sherman Oaks to Pasadena—as well as straightforward commutes from Santa Clarita and other northern Los Angeles County areas. Spectrolab offers a break from the famously difficult Los Angeles commutes. Position Responsibilities Include: Supports day-to-day solar cell assembly production processes, including set up, monitoring, and troubleshooting of processes and equipment. Develops and implements production processes and generates/maintains process documentation to ensure correct and consistent process application in production.

Develops and monitors SPC and process parameters to identify and correct process drift and identify and implement continuous improvements to product and process. Lead engineering activities for capital equipment introduction, including automated resistance welding equipment. Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions. Participates in gated process/product reviews and presents PFMECA and process/training readiness information to both internal and external customers. Leads and implements manufacturing plans and assists in developing and maintaining manufacturing training requirements.

Generates and provides rework/repair dispositions and instructions for Non-Conformance hardware and process Assists in the identification of tooling and shop-aid requirements based on manufacturing, assembly, testing, and engineering requirements Identifies leading edge technologies, materials or process improvements and targeted automation to improve ergonomics, safety, cost, and schedule. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. All work is performed 100% onsite in Sylmar, CA. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. S. R. 15 is required. S. S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications

) Experience with Factory Automation business capabilities such as machine tool integration and/or fabrication Experience leading RCCA investigations Experience with Database design/development (SQL preferred). Experience as process trainer (maintain training record). g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
