We are looking for a Senior Dye Technical Assistant. You will be the technical subject matter expert for DYE Process. You will also development operations by leading scale-up activities, mentoring Jr. technicians, driving process improvements, and providing operational leadership across development and commercial products.

You will sit in our Monroeville, PA location and will report to the Senior Research Manager.

Main Responsibilities • Complete complex process development and scale-up campaigns. • Serve as primary technical resource for kilo-lab operations. • Support commercialization, technology transfer, and manufacturing readiness scale activities and provide feedback to PD chemists for improvements. • Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations on kilo lab equipment. • Mentor entry and experienced technicians. • Develop SOPs, training programs, and best practices. • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost. • Communicate lab status, issues, and updates with the technical team. • Collaborate with chemists, engineers, and other team members. • Document process data, material usage, and observations in laboratory records and electronic systems • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; follow PPE requirements and report hazards or near-misses Qualifications • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred. • 7+ years of chemical manufacturing, scale-up, pilot plant, or process development experience. • Advanced troubleshooting, scale-up expertise, mentoring, leadership, standard operating procedures, development, and continuous improvements. • Support training of new technicians • Balance hands-on technical work with support responsibilities #LI-Onsite PPG offers comprehensive benefits such as Health, Dental, Life, Retirement Plan, Paid Vacation and Holidays, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Disability/Leave, Family leave, and other Voluntary benefit offerings.
