🚗 We’re Hiring: Production Manager | Röchling Automotive

📍 Location: Akron, OH.

Are you an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in automotive manufacturing, plastic injection molding, and assembly operations? Join our team at Röchling Automotive and help us drive operational excellence, product quality, and continuous improvement!

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a 24/7 manufacturing operation across three shifts, overseeing injection molding, assembly, and testing processes.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to production supervisors and team members.
Ensure production schedules and customer delivery requirements are consistently met.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor costs.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with established safety standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and problem-solving methodologies.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, and Launch teams to achieve operational goals.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to address production and quality issues.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and quality standards.
Manage labor resources and overtime while maximizing production efficiency.
Lead cross-functional projects to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and optimize performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, specifically in plastic injection molding and assembly operations.
Experience in the automotive industry, preferably within an automotive supplier or Tier 1/Tier 2 manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of injection molding processes, assembly operations, and production workflows.
Proven experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.
Experience monitoring production KPIs and implementing corrective actions to achieve performance targets.
Familiarity with quality management systems, customer-specific requirements, and automotive quality standards.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage priorities and support operations across three shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
