Job Title: Engineer, Development ========================================

Flint Group is seeking to add a Engineer, Development to it’s growing team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and innovating new products, compounds and/or processes that can be used to introduce new products to market or improve existing product offerings. Utilize engineering and analysis expertise in the development of composite materials used in the commercial printing and packaging industry. Familiarity with rubber and/or textiles is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test new products and materials to meet printing product performance requirements and expectations.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles to solve product problems relating to manufacturability and field performance.
• Develop test specifications, procedures, and objectives to assist in developing new products and compounds.
• Set up and conduct tests on new innovations to assure results meet expectations.
• Collect and analyze data from testing, and report on findings with conclusions and recommendations.
• Participate in product design reviews and provide knowledgeable recommendations when required.
• Provide overall development objectives, policies and program plans when called upon to do so.
• Assist Quality and Manufacturing in resolving product and process problems associated with product issues when needed.
• Assist in developing project plans, budgets, and time lines in support of new programs.
• Monitor and report on performance to project plans and budgets.

Qualification

• B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work at the Asheville, NC location
