Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Summary of job responsibilities: Supports IATF 16949 quality system requirements; assists with quality system maintenance as needed, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action, continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, obtains and/or creates boundary samples, customer PPAP's, handles internal and external quality complaints, interfacing with customers, production, and management, assists with training to build quality awareness, assists with transfer of new products to Production in accordance with approved data, interacts with the Quality auditors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system, conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions, creates and maintains company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, work instructions, reports, etc.

Qualifications

Experience in Quality Engineering in automotive plastic injection molding environment preferred. Experience with VW desired

Understanding of IATF 16949 quality systems and processes to ensure company and customer standards are met is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications

Ability to respond to customer concerns, both internally and externally

Knowledge of 8-D/ASQ Problem Solving methodology to improve product quality

Knowledge of SPC, CMM, PPAP, DOE and continuous improvement desired

Self-motivated, able to work with minimal direction
